Los Bando

14-year-olds Grim and Aksel are not only best friends, they also have a band together, “Los Bando Immortale”. When they are accepted to perform at the national rock music competition, a big dream comes true, but the band needs reinforcements. Only 9-year-old Thilda turns up at the audition with her cello. But Thilda is convincing because she has rock’n’roll in her blood and is accepted into the band. Together with rally driver Martin, they set off across the country in a “borrowed” camper van. However, there are a few problems: Aksel can’t sing, Thilda has forged her parents’ participation permit and Martin’s father and brother have taken up the chase because they want their motorhome back. Nevertheless, the four of them save a bride with a broken-down car on the way and meet Grim’s great idol “The Hammer”. In a race against time, they grow close as friends and make it just in time for the big show.

The School Cinema Weeks transform cinemas throughout Saxony into classrooms for a fortnight every year. Films worth seeing are shown in many cinemas in order to use this medium to explore topics from the Saxon curriculum in greater depth and provide impetus for further exploration of their content and the medium of film. The School Cinema Weeks are aimed at all school types and grades.

All of the films we show at the SchulKinoWochen are inspiring, exciting and provide ideas that you can take up with your pupils in class. To make it easier for you and your class to start the discussion directly, you can take part in a film discussion after the film.

The School Cinema Weeks enable school classes to visit the cinema on specific topics. The selection of films is chosen to be true-to-life and suitable for the school curriculum. This makes it possible to enrich the curriculum.
