YOUTH HISTORY PROJECT “DENKMAL!”

The project deals with the commemoration of the death march that ran from Mülsen St. Micheln via Hartenstein, Schlema, Schneeberg and Zschorlau to Wolfsgrün in 1945 and cost many prisoners their lives. It is important to get local people – and young people in particular – on board and to work together on a modern culture of remembrance. During the project, there will be workshops on the topics of local history and the culture of remembrance. There will also be several trips to memorial sites. In addition, the young people will be supported in doing their own research and helping to shape the 80th anniversary commemoration in April 2025.
