For all those who are interested in German rock and, in particular, East German rock, the work of Rockhaus is part of their general knowledge. Since 1983 at the latest and their “Disco in der U-Bahn”, they were well known to the then still young audience in the GDR. Rockhaus played an acoustic tour for the first time in 2024. 10 shows, almost all sold out. The desire for a repeat performance and an album became loud and so the band decided to go into the studio and record all the songs that were played back then.

At the concert in the Alter Gasometer, Kilian’s voice seems more mature on some of the songs than on the originals produced in the studio back then. This is particularly noticeable in the songs that have their roots in the 80s. The successful songs are now once again at the centre of attention and less is more, as is sometimes said, and today in the Gaso it hits the nail on the head.
